Innovate Projects 2014

Following a highly competitive round of applications in April, Sound Connections is pleased to announce a new portfolio Innovate projects as part of our Youth Music funded Musical Inclusion programme. These projects will explore innovative new musical activities, partnerships or models, working with children and young people in challenging circumstances.

We are delighted to be supporting the following projects:

  • Live Music Now, working with children with special needs and disabilities at Horniman Museum.
  • Gawain Hewitt and Ty Chijioke, fostering leadership skills amongst young musicians at Feltham Young Offenders Institute.
  • Grooveschool, testing brand-new music technology tools alongside young people with special needs and disabilities.
  • Multi Cultural Well Being and Healing, using sound therapy to open up communication between children in transition and their families.

We will share more details about the activity and learning as the projects move forward.
