Sound Connections is 10!

Thursday 22 November saw almost 200 people descend on Shoreditch House for our very special 10th Birthday ‘Would Like to Meet…’ networking event. This was a chance to meet, share and learn from others, as well as celebrate 10 years of Sound Connections’ work with children and young people across London.

Our Wired4Music members were out in force, with the event soundtracked by the team and documented by our photographer-in-residence Jesse Olu.

Sound Connections’ Director Philip Flood talked about our recent work and our plans for the future – launching our 2012 Annual Review – whilst our Chair of Trustees Katrina Duncan looked back at the achievements over the last 10 years. The stage was then set for two of our Wired4Music members – AJ and Amelia – who talked about what Wired4Music and Sound Connections means to them, before it was time to cut the cake!

You can see all the photos from the night on Flickr and Facebook, and view a special Storify page on the event. And don’t forget to follow the #SC10Years hashtag on Twitter to find out what else is happening over the course of our 10th birthday year.
