A charity with a difference, The Premises Music Education Programme, runs from its base in one of the UK’s most famous recording and rehearsal studios – The Premises. The charity has been running since 1996, providing a variety of courses and workshops and giving musicians of all ages, abilities and budgets the chance to work in studios frequented by Lily Allen, Rihanna, Tinie Tempah, Courtney Pine, Florence and the Machine and Madness to name just a few.
It ran the most successful New Deal For Musicians scheme in the country, giving a head start to many emerging artists and now runs regular workshops including a Jazz Vocal and Recording Workshop with Ian Shaw, a Songwriting and Recording course with big-name masterclass tutors and an annual Jazz Piano Workshop.
