Innovate is our groundbreaking programme that incubates unique music projects for children and young people in challenging circumstances in London.
Sound Connections’ Innovate programme exists to develop and support emerging practitioners and small organisations to realise new ideas and approaches to working with children and young people in early years (0-5 years) and/or those facing challenging circumstances. Providing funding, project mentoring and support, Innovate is a unique opportunity to launch or incubate a project idea and aims to provide a space for people to take risk and deliver ground breaking work.
Successful candidates work in close partnership with Sound Connections to develop and deliver the project. We also encourage applicants to work with local partners such as Music Education Hubs, youth services and referral agencies to propose the strongest offer for young people. We encourage candidates to consult young people themselves and consider how your project might create a sustainable legacy for music-making.
