Get Business Ready

Autumn 2020

We are planning on running this course during the Autumn term. Please register your interest in the course here.

Cost of session: £10

A one-day event supporting musicians and musically-inclined creatives to grow their practice and business. Whether you want to set up a project or business, work with children and young people in range of creative settings or monetise musical and creative skills, this day is open to all. Get Business Ready is geared towards helping musicians and creative practitioners strike a balance between creativity and sustainability.

Multi-award winning saxophonist Millicent Stephenson will provide a keynote speech ‘How To Future Proof Your Music Business’, talking about her journey and how to respond to new opportunities as an artist through your career.

Also there will be workshops and support in:

  • Employment, tax, fundraising with the Musicians Union and Arts Council England
  • Growing your network, balancing your creativity with running your own project/business, being inclusive in your practice, time management tools and strategies  (Sound Connections)
  • One-to-one mentoring

Plus the opportunity to network and build new connections.
