Amplify London: Five Funded Organisations Announced

Amplify London is the newest programme from the London Music Fund, in collaboration with YouTube Music and Sound Connections. Amplify London funds specific local projects run by grassroots organisations that provide musical and/or music technology activities for young people aged 11-21 in London. Amplify London will help grassroots organisations create links with the music education sector and wider industry. Successful applicants have been awarded £6000 towards their proposed project.

Find out more about the first five funded organisations in the pilot of Amplify London:

Ambition Aspire Achieve: Arc Music

This Newham youth club will launch their new music studio in the autumn with music technology & digital music making workshops for vulnerable young people aged 12-14.

College Voices: Voice Against Hate

This North-London based project will celebrate difference, champion respect and combat hate in schools, all through a bespoke song-writing programme.

Girls Rock London: Summer Camp

This 6-day intensive Summer Camp in Hackney will enable young women and trans youth to learn an instrument and form a band, trained by industry professionals.

Ruff Sqwad Arts Foundation: YCHTB 2020

This 6-week project will train young MCs, producers & sound engineers, culminating in a live local performance in Tower Hamlets, and a recorded EP and music video.

School Ground Sounds: Windrush Amplified

In partnership with the Brixton Wings youth club, this summer song-writing camp for vulnerable, local young people aged 11-16 will explore the theme of Windrush.
