GLA Music Education Hubs Survey

On 12 January the Greater London Authority (GLA) held a London-wide conference on music education. A key theme was the need for a coordinated approach to the formation of Music Education Hubs across the capital.

During the conference, delegates and speakers called upon the GLA – as an impartial, strategic authority for London – to support the formation of Hubs by gathering some basic information.

GLA have therefore devised a very short survey. They hope all London music education providers will complete it over the coming week. The survey takes about 5 minutes and asks for basic information about your organisation and whether you plan to be involved in a Music Education Hub.

The survey will:

– allow prospective Hub leaders to flag-up if they are looking for partners
– allow potential partners to share their offer with the emerging Hubs across London
– help identify any ‘cold-spots’ prior to the Arts Council’s Hub application deadline of 17th February

You will find the survey at:

You can opt to keep your responses confidential – however this may limit our ability to connect you with potential partners.

GLA will send an update in the week commencing 6 February. In the meantime, if you need any help completing the survey, please call Paul Broadhurst on 020 7983 4130.

Also – please help them reach as many music education providers as possible by forwarding this email through your networks.

As a small charity we rely upon donations from generous individuals, trusts and companies to support our work with children and young people across London.
