Inclusive Practice in Action: Speakers and New Dates Announced

We have taken the decision to postpone the Inclusive Practice in Action: Diversifying the Music Education Workforce virtual event from 11th/12th February to the new dates of 11th/12th March 2021.

We have a brilliant, inspirational line-up now confirmed: with keynotes from Asif Sadiq (global head of diversity at Adidas) and artist Miss Jacqui; provocations from Deborah Williams; Jamel Carly Campbell; Melanie-Marie Haywood; Dr Muna Abdi; Suhaiymah Manzoor-Khan and discussion groups facilitated by Imrana Mahmood; Jenetta Hurst; John Kelly; Nate Holder and Samantha Spence.

There will also be a ‘Listening Space’ on Thursday 11th February from 12pm-2pm facilitated by our event host Brenda Rattray. More details on this to follow soon.

The date change has been done with everybody’s wellness in mind. Lockdown 3.0 has brought increased pressures and anxieties, and after a consultation process with speakers, facilitators and the Sound Connections team, we felt that a short postponement would provide some breathing space for everyone.
