Julian Joseph Jazz Academy

Julian Joseph Jazz Academy

The Julian Joseph Jazz Academy, run by the Hackney Music Development Trust, will open its doors in January 2013. The Academy is being launched this autumn through a series of taster sessions.

The Academy will run weekly on Saturday afternoons under the artistic direction of internationally renowned jazz pianist and composer Julian Joseph. It will offer talented young instrumentalists and vocalists aged 12-19 the opportunity to work with acclaimed jazz artists to develop their skills through a curriculum underpinned by an introduction to the American roots of jazz.
