Meet the LEYMN Apprentices

This year we’re delighted that the London Early Years Music Network (LEYMN) apprentice scheme has a record number of eight early years music leaders taking part in the programme. They come from a rich diversity of musical and educational backgrounds, and will spend this year receiving mentoring from experienced early years music practitioners, shadowing and observing projects and attending training sessions. Their participation in the scheme kicked off with an introduction and a discussion of the current landscape of early years music practice with Nicola Burke, and they are now in touch with their mentors and are starting their journey of observations and training. They will be in regular contact with each other with meetings and seminars across the year, and we hope the year will give them the chance to access and discuss a wide range of high quality early years music practice, and inspire them to further their journey in becoming reflective early years music practitioners.
