Musical Journeys and Progression in Brent

At the start of 2015, as part of our Musical Inclusion work funded by Youth Music, Sound Connections and Wired4Music worked with the outer London borough of Brent to hold consultation sessions with groups of young people aged between 14 and 25. Similar to the work we did with Roundhouse in the boroughs of Haringey, Enfield and Barnet, the aim was to find out about young people’s musical progression routes, what opportunities they have to make music and what they want in the future. It was also to support the voices of young people in Brent, and connect them to pan-London conversations taking place about youth voice and musical progression.
