Paul Hamlyn Foundation inspire-music

inspire-music is a new initiative from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation for the whole music education sector to make musical learning more consistent, higher quality, more diverse and more sustainable. It is supported by a working group from a broad range of practices and specialisms, including Sound Connections Director, Philip Flood.

“inspire-music will create a space for collaborative professional learning; where people can discover new approaches, access research and evidence to help support their thinking, and share their own effective music learning practice and strategies.”

Organisations or individuals can get involved by sharing a case study or keep in touch with discussions through their newsletter and following them on twitter. The initiative invites the whole music education community (All those contributing to music provision for children and young people – teachers, community musicians, music organisations, Music Hubs, HE institutions, professional performers, researchers…) to think together, share practice and spark inspiration.
