Start Up!: Where to go next

Sound Connections’ successful Start Up! workshop has been running since 2010. It aims to provide newcomers to the field of music leading with information on the profession itself, from an overview of the type of work available, through how to navigate local and national contacts, and how to link in to what’s going on. “Start Up! will give you the inspiration and confidence boost you’d benefit from. It helps you navigate the complex world of music education.” – Start Up! participant feedback, November 2014

We have just published a briefing paper which acts as a follow on from our Start Up! training event which takes place three times a year. This resource points to useful sources of information for anyone looking to learn more about music leading, and the world of music education in general. We will be revisiting this paper, reviewing and updating the information as appropriate.

You can here the full briefing paper here >

As a small charity we rely upon donations from generous individuals, trusts and companies to support our work with children and young people across London.
