Tri-Music Together: a 5-year consortium project, 2016-2021
In 2015, Sound Connections became one of 16 consortium partners, that together made the Tri-borough Early Years Music Consortium. Working in collaboration, these organisations comprised Early Years services, music and arts organisations, all committed to and invested in Early Years music. The aim of the consortium was to support and develop music practice and provision. With funding from Youth Music, the consortium created a large workforce development programme called Tri-Music Together.
In December 2021, the Youth Music funded part of this programme concluded. The consortium intends to remain active and strong, and we collectively await news of the potential inclusion of Early years music in the revised National Plan for Music Education.
