Taking OffTaking Off

A networked approach to promoting meaningful musical pathways for young Londoners facing challenging circumstances.

Music In Detention

MID runs participatory music activities with immigration detainees and excluded groups living nearby. They share thoughts and emotions, learn musical skills and create arresting music of raw power. They make their voices heard and learn from each other’s life experience. This work builds resilience, confidence, and informed attitudes about immigration.
