Wired4Music announces Generate 2024 participants

Wired4Music – Sound Connections’ vibrant network of young Londoners aged 16-25 with a passion for music – has just announced the five young people that will be taking part in its Generate programme 2024!

Meet Jenomé, Sharifa, Split60, C4Truth, and Mar. Each of these five talented creatives was shortlisted by a team of young people from within the Wired4Music community, following a competitive application processes that saw 25 applications (as compared to 45 applications in the previous round, in 2023).

Generate is one of our flagship opportunities that allows us to support our young creatives on a project of their choosing. We believe that young people can identify problems and challenges within the music world that we can't always see, so our fund allows them to take matters into their own hands to tackle them, while getting funding, mentorship and support.

Tee Peters - Programme Producer, Sound Connections

These five young creatives will each spend the next six months receiving 1:1 guidance and investment from Sound Connections, as they bring to life their music-based ideas, ranging from creating music videos, to setting up a platform for emerging artists to perform, and much more.

For my Generate Project I will be presenting my third album and focusing on getting the final mix and final master recordings. I’ve been working on this album for a few years with Sam Beer (Treetop Flyers) as a main producer. Every song on this upcoming album tells a personal vulnerable story as it’s written during lockdown and from my perspective of looking for various answers.
