Part 2 of the Sound Connections online training series ‘Music and the Nervous System and Approaches to working with children who have English as a Second Language’, in partnership with I Speak Music.
In this session we will look at how we, as native speaking practitioners, can better interact with children and young people who have English as a second or other language. We will explore techniques to ensure both teacher and learner can better understand each other, focus on features of native communication that are often misinterpreted, and look at the benefits of non-verbal communication within music settings.
