MERYC 2017: CREATING MUSICAL SPACES: Origins, Cultures and Childhoods
Sophie Mathias, co-founder of World Beaters and LEYMN member, attended the Music Educators and Researchers of Young Children’s (MERYC) EuNet Conference 2017 in June and has written her reflections on the event in this paper. This was World Beaters’ first opportunity to deliver a paper on their practice and the Luton Roma Music Project (LRMP), and this summary covers the keys areas of their work.
