Leading the way in Youth Voice & Participation, both regionally and nationally.
We regularly engage in panel discussions, debates, focus groups, campaigning and advocacy aimed at making a youth voice heard across the United Kingdom.
Youth Voice Week 2020
Sound Connections is proud to launch the first ever Youth Voice Week for the creative and cultural sector, taking place from 5-9 October 2020.
Youth Voice Week is an interactive online schedule taking place across five days, allowing you to dip in and out however you want. Whether you’re a producer, coordinator, programme manager, marketeer, senior leader or trustee, you’ll find inspiration and ideas you need to work more collaboratively with young creatives. Register for your pass today and get unlimited streaming of all the week’s events and content, for a suggested donation of just £20!
Wired4Music
Wired4Music is a network of Londoners aged 16-25 who are passionate about music. Everything it does is decided by its members who co-produce projects and events, with support from Sound Connections staff and music sector mentors, facilitate youth voice consultations and influence music through consultation and advocacy. ReWired
We launched the ReWired national survey in 2015 to gather information about existing youth voice activities in music education across England for the first time. This website opens up our findings and shares resources in the aim of kick-starting a bigger debate about youth voice, and raise its profile for organisations working musically with young people.
