Sound Connections are pleased to announce our Autumn Training and Professional Development programme! With a range of both in-person and online events, and exploring topics including youth voice, wellbeing, contemporary music curriculum design, and forming connections with others in the music and creative sectors, we have lots on offer next term and would love you to join us. Youth Voice from a Music Hub Perspective

Contemporary Curriculum Design: Building on the National Plan for Music Education

Explore how to build inclusive, flexible and relevant music curricula rooted in national guidance and 21st-century practice. Led by music specialist, Jenetta Hurst, this in-person session at Rich Mix in East London offers practical strategies for music educators at all stages, with a focus on musical elements, cross-genre teaching, and contemporary context.

Join us for an informal and welcoming in-person gathering at Rich Mix in East London, designed to bring together people from across the music education and music industry sectors. Whether you’re a young person passionate about music, part of a music education hub, a music teacher, emerging leader, practitioner, artist, label representative, or any other creative professional, this is your chance to connect, share, and collaborate.

How to Attend

Tickets to all Sound Connections’ events are currently fixed at just £15 (discounts and bursaries still apply, see below for details). 

Free to young people aged 16-25, students and unwaged. 

We want to ensure our training events are fully accessible and that cost is not a barrier. We therefore have a limited number of bursary places available to those who are unable to pay (subject to availability). Please email emily@sound-connections.org.uk to discuss the options.
